ILoveTranscript is an online SaaS platform that helps users turn video and audio content into practical study and productivity materials. The platform currently focuses on transcripts from YouTube captions, with planned features for transcript summarisation, flashcard creation, quiz generation, and more media workflows.

Role description

We are hiring a Malaysia-based Full Stack Engineer on a remote contract basis to help build and improve ILoveTranscript. This is not a full-time role. The position offers flexible working hours, and candidates may work on other jobs or freelance projects as long as agreed tasks and deadlines are met.

You will work across the front end and back end of the platform, helping to build responsive web pages, upload workflows, transcription features, APIs, user limits, export options, and future AI-powered study tools.

What you’ll be doing

Build and improve front-end pages, components, and user flows.
Develop back-end services, APIs, and database features.
Help integrate transcription and AI-powered study tools.
Improve platform performance, reliability, and security.
Fix bugs, test features, and support deployment.
Work independently and communicate progress clearly.

Requirements

Experience with full-stack web development.
Good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks such as React or Next.js.
Experience with back-end development, APIs, and databases.
Familiarity with Git and basic deployment workflows.
Able to work remotely, manage tasks independently, and communicate clearly.
Comfortable using AI coding assistants/agents such as Codex, Claude Code, or similar tools.
